Bato's Water Tranquility

Try to dive into our deep and pure water.....In spite of many wharves being constructed......our seawater remain in its beautiful and astounding image..As you can see, it is residential, not commercial, thus, no resorts nor beaches are erected here. This means that nature's beauty has its own way of preserving it.

The most common livelihood Bato has is fishing. We have the freshest seafoods here. Fishermen, especially after having a good catch, spare some pieces for their pals to enjoy with. They grill it in the seashore using only those spared firewoods. With "bahaw" (cold rice/corn), they usually eat some of their catch raw, locals call it "kinilaw."

Most of the Batohanons belong to the lower and middle-class society. Fathers usually bring their kids at work to lessen mothers burden and for some sort of assistance in fishing and in early age, their children will know how hard life is. At least, they learn fishing at a very young age.

Industrialization has already conquered Bato. With  its fast and rapid growing economy, Bato has now wharves( 3 acclaimed,1 unknown). Three of which are operating and the other one is still under verification. Though, nature is still preserved.

Early in the morning, people prefer to soak their bodies in water. As seen in the picture, they enjoyed swimming beside the footpath of one of the wharves. This is the only time to do it because the ship will arrive at 11:00 in the morning.
